PFA is an extruded fluoropolymer suitable for use up to 260 °C (500 °F) and is flame-retardant and non-propagating in fire conditions. This material provides one of the highest temperatures in extruded insulations. Conductors are extruded with PFA and laid parallel. Jacketing is then extruded over the two singles creating a duplex construction. The product is moisture/chemical resistant and provides low friction when pulled. The smooth extruded finish is ideal for food industry cleaning requirements. This construction also provides all the benefits of FEP with a higher temperature rating.
