The second inner sheath, or dual wall construction of this low drift temperature sensor is designed and tested to reduce the migration of contaminants from the outer sheath to the conductors. The reduced migration slows the deterioration and therefore reliability of the elements. In turn this improves temperature measurement accuracy and extends the thermocouple's life significantly.
With a overall longer life expectancy, the long life mineral insulated thermocouple will reduce furnace downtime in sensor replacement and is designed for accurate and reliable temperature measurement, perfect for difficult or awkward locations.
